2023 MoCo Made Woman-Owned Business Spotlight

In honor of Women’s History month, we have compiled a comprehensive list of outstanding MoCo Made businesses that are woman-owned. This list includes products ranging from craft beverages, farms, confections, prepared/packed foods and non-alcoholic beverages! We encourage you to support these women-owned businesses and share this list widely with your network! What better way to celebrate Women’s History than to support businesses from this list. Don’t forget to tag the business and the Montgomery County Food Council when you make your purchase!     1. Believe N Bread – Believe N Break specializes in organic, vegan, savory, and sweet bread. They have slices available on the shelf at Takoma Park Silver Spring Co-Op. On Saturdays from 9 am-1 pm, we are at the SW Farmers Market, and CrossRoads Farmers Market on Wednesday from 10:30 and -2:30 pm. 
    2. Scratch Kitchen and Bistro – Scratch kitchen is a family owned farm to table bistro offering homemade pastries, fresh squeezed juice and family recipe favorites with fresh local ingredients.
    3. Sprinklewood Bakeshop – Sprinklewood Bakeshop offers a variety of gluten-free, vegan, paleo, and keto-friendly baked goods, including granola, cookies, brownies, cakes, and more, made with whole foods and nutrient-dense ingredients.     4. Sweets by Caroline – SweetsbyCaroline is a pop up bakery that specializes in gluten-free french macarons, cakes, and Asian inspired desserts!
    5. BannerBee Co – BannerBee produces raw honey, honey bee pollen, small batch infused honeys, handcrafted beeswax candles + honey-inspired body care. 
    6. Chicken Of The Woods Permaculture Farm – Organic high-CBD hemp teas, and salve!
    7. Dress it Up Dressing – Award-winning Dress It Up Dressing turns a simple salad into a gourmet dish by offering dressings that replicate homemade.
    8. MeatCrafters – MeatCrafters was founded in Montgomery County with the idea of bringing top quality charcuterie products to the local area and nationwide.
