Black-Owned MoCo Made Spotlight

Black-Owned MoCo Made Spotlight

Posted by Bell’s Reines on

In celebration of Black History Month, the Food Council is proud to shine the spotlight on our distinguished Black-owned MoCo Made businesses, who grow and produce distinctive, delicious food and beverage products right here in our community. Montgomery County is one of the most racially and ethnically diverse counties in the nation. Montgomery County’s Black residents continue to build our community, and shape us into the strong County we are, greatly contributing to the rich diversity of what we eat and drink. In this Black-Owned MoCo Made Spotlight feature, you’ll find local farms, unique sweet treats, and pantry staples.

Featuring:

AMAC Foods: Producing ready-to-eat Jollof Rice, one of the popular dishes of West Africa, a staple food and a choice dish at all special occasions.

Beauty Blooms Farm: Building a farm that centers around community, cultural heritage, and possibilities for local sustainable food systems.

Believe N Bread: Bread is made with Pure Love! Organic baking specializing in no yeast, and dairy-free products.

Bell’s Reines: There’s a cookie here for everyone. Offering gluten free and vegan cookies too!

Be sure to head to the brand websites to learn more about each business and the owners, and how you can support them by eating, drinking, and buying local!
