Black Business Spotlight: Bell's Reines
This week for Black History Month, we interviewed Teneisha Thompson of Bell’s Reines! Bell’s Reines is a participant of the MWBC Shop Local retail incubator program.
Bell’s Reines is an SBA-WOSB certified gourmet mini cookie company that crafts small-batch, high-quality cookies using premium, nut-free ingredients. They offer a variety of flavors, including classic and more unique options, with a focus on providing delicious treats that are also free from artificial flavors and preservatives.
Who are your biggest inspirations/role models?
It’s difficult to create an exhaustive list of inspiring figures. The beauty of inspiration lies in its personal and unique nature.
For me, inspiration isn’t confined to a list of names. I find it in the everyday acts of courage, perseverance, creativity, and kindness that I witness in people from all walks of life.
This perspective reminds me that inspiration isn’t solely about famous figures or historical icons. It’s about the inherent human spirit and the capacity for good that resides within each and every one of us.
How do you/your business contribute to the empowerment of the Black community?
Bell’s Reines empowers the Black community by:
- Creating jobs: Providing employment opportunities.
- Generating wealth: Building a successful business that can create wealth for the owner and potentially be reinvested in the community.
- Inspiring others: Serving as a role model for other Black entrepreneurs.
How long have you been working with MWBC?
